A new year another show

Hello all,

I hope that you’ve had a wonderful start to the new year.

I’m starting the new year off with a show of works Sager Reeves Gallery, in Columbia, Missouri. With the success of Last year’s show there, I will be traveling for the opening reception, March 3, 2023. I’m thrilled to meet everyone at the gallery and looking forward to meeting an Artist Alliance friend, Jenn Wiggs, a wonderful colorist and mentor.

Please have a peek at what I’ll be exhibiting. For further details on each piece, click here.

Looking back at my work from 2022, it was a challenging year. Despite that, I’m enormously grateful to have a venue to share my work with the world. In all, I created about 10 paintings, and various works on paper, charcoal, pastel and mixed media. Looking forward to this year’s work, I’m contemplating simpler compositions but working with landscape abstractions, or abstracted space. I’ll continue to explore brushwork and the both the power and fragility of mark making. I’ll continue to challenge my comfort zone. The canvases will provide the pathway, no doubt. It’s a complicated relationship.

I am also represented by Jen Tough Gallery and had the good fortune to sell to a collector through her representation. This is a gallery to watch as Jen will be opening her bricks and mortar footprint in Santa Fe, NM. It will no doubt be a preeminent space for art collectors in Santa Fe. I recommend her newsletter.
